My New Must-Have
The day I got my Elite Convection Air Fry Oven – almost two months ago – marks the last time I used not just my regular oven, but also about half of my appliances. I’m not saying that this mean machine can do everything your oven can. You probably can’t fit a 16lb turkey and a tray of veggies in it. But I have absolutely roasted up a whole chicken with all the fixings.
It’s in the everyday little things that this oven really shines. It heats up fast and doesn’t heat up the whole rest of the house with it. And because both the interior and the racks are coated in GreenPan’s PFAS-free, nonstick ceramic, it easily cleans up with just a wipe.
Plus, with a dozen different ways to cook, it’s quickly relegated my single use appliances (looking at you, toaster) to the bottom cabinet. What other tool lets you go from baking a cake to baking a pizza, then to dehydrating fruit, then air frying cauliflower wings? Nothing, that’s what.
How It Stacks Up
The GreenPan Elite Convection Air Fry Oven is not alone in the market. In fact, this style of countertop, do-it-all oven is having a bit of a moment. You can find similar models from popular makers like Cuisinart, Breville, Hamilton Beach, and Our Place.
But when you look at them side by side, GreenPan’s oven offers a compelling combination of features that make it a clear winner.
- Nonstick interior. If you’ve ever spent an hour trying to clean the remnants of a well-intended kitchen experiment out of your oven, you know how much of a difference an easy-clean oven can make.
- Plenty of space. Models from Cuisinart and Breville are packed with nice functions, but they’ve only got enough space for a few slices of toast. GreenPan’s has room to cook a (small-ish) turkey, meaning that you can actually take advantage of all those fancy features!
- So many ways to cook. This is one area where the Elite Oven really stands out. Not only does it have a massive amount of pre-sets – allowing you to do pretty much anything with the touch of a button – but the Duo Cook feature means that you can essential program it to do everything for you, like say proofing then baking or defrosting, roasting, and then slow cooking, without ever having to lift a finger.
Small Package, Big Results
Wonder gadgets get a bad rap and, truth be told, it’s mostly their own fault. I’ve been burned plenty of times (sometimes literally) in my never-ending quest to make making dinner easier. But, if you’re looking to ditch a dozen pieces of kitchen clutter for the one do-it-all appliance that doesn’t disappoint, then this oven is for you.
The ample interior space, ceramic nonstick coating, and plethora of presets make this oven a small but mighty must-have for anyone who’s looking to make their life easier in the kitchen. And right now, you can take up to 75% off site-wide!
