Editor’s Note: Start the year off right, with GreenPan’s “New Year, New You” sale – take up to 60% off site-wide!

Normally, I’m not a fan of a passive-aggressive Christmas present. Deodorant, fancy toothpaste, a gift card for a wax. All things I’ve been gifted by friends, family, and lovers. I can’t be certain that the set of GreenPan GP5 pans from my mom were necessarily a gentle hint that I need to change my lifestyle, but I decided to take it as one and make a huge shift this year. Look out, world – I’m retiring my diet of ramen and buttered bagels, and finally eating healthy in 2025! Keep on reading to see how these pans inspired a life-altering New Year’s resolution.

A Serious Step Above

I used to have the most basic pans – some random nonstick frying pan I got at Marshall’s and a little saucepan that could barely boil a package of ramen. Honestly, it’s no wonder my diet consisted of purely beige foods. But the 11-piece GP5 set – in the chic Cloud Cream color – comes with two sizes of frypan, a saucepan with a lid, a saute pan with a lid, and a stockpot with a lid. Huge bonus: it also comes with two silicone cooking spoons and a spatula.

The GP5 pans are also truly superior performers. They’re expertly designed to make cooking and cleanup easy-breezy. Check out their advanced specs:

  • Infinite8 Ceramic Nonstick Surface. It’s better than chemical nonstick because it doesn’t flake or leach potentially harmful chemicals, and it’s better than other ceramic nonsticks because it holds up to metal utensils without scratching. That’s what 8 generations of development will do!
  • Silhouette Rivets. I used to avoid making eggs or any kind of curry because it would get all gunked up in that spot where the handle met the pan and I wouldn’t be able to clean it out. GreenPan must have read my mind – their silhouette rivets create a smooth interior with zero places for food to get stuck!
  • Balance Pro Base. I’m used to the oil in my pan sliding all the way over to one side so I have to add a ton extra. But GreenPan somehow managed to engineer this pan so that it stays level and the oil distributes evenly across the pan’s surface. Meaning I use less oil, which is healthier for me overall!
  • Armored Body. These pans are super strong and durable because of a process called hard-anodizing. They don’t scratch, and they’re non-porous, too.
  • Oven and Induction Safe. Not every pan works on an induction surface, but the GP5s do! All the pans are also oven-safe up to 600°. So I can do fun stuff like brown chicken in my saute pan and finish cooking in the oven without transferring to a baking dish.
